In this lecture, a synthesis of the book entitled "El Vuelo corto. Mujeres y Migraciones en la Edad Moderna" (Castelao, 2021).

The result of an extensive project of research - an updated approach is proposed, reviewing in depth the relationship between women, mobility and the migrations in Spain, providing information on their role as migrants, on sedentary women and on those who were seen
affected by the absence of men.
